About Emesa
Almost 300 professionals collaborate with us, eager to contribute their values, experience and professionalism to the project.
I have always been interested in large constructions: bridges, highways, dams ... even before graduating, first as a Technical Engineer in Public Works and then as a Civil Engineer. During my professional career in the private sector I have been fortunate to collaborate in different preservation contracts with diverse levels of Public Administration. I started working 20 years ago for the regional governments of Castilla y León and Vizcaya and for the Spanish Ministry of Public Works and Transport in a bi-national infrastructure, and I am currently working for Madrid City Council.
I have been working in Emesa since 2005, being promoted in recent years to General Manager.
I am very excited about what we are creating and the service we provide to the city of Madrid. I also enjoy my passions which are my family and cycling.
When I was a child I never dreamed of devoting myself to infrastructure maintenance... I'd rather pretend to be a reporter to investigate that big and unknown world that was opening before my eyes. However, when my brother started studying industrial engineering, I got interested in the engineering field. So I decided to study Public Works, and started working in Road Maintenance for the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation. My first destination was Toledo; next Zamora, where I remember interviewing applicants in cafés as we didn't have a rented space yet; then Córdoba and finally Madrid.
In 2006 I joined Emesa, where I was encouraged to study Civil Works and where I have taken up different posts. Nowadays, I am the Production Manager.
Besides work, my other two passions are my family and travelling.
I am delighted to be part of this project and especially to be a member of our great work team.
Passionate about business organisation, I have been able to develop professionally in various areas such as food industry, machinery manufacturing and, nowadays, public works. Everywhere, I have seen how collaboration and teamwork are the determining factors for success.
Educated in the humanities (Philosophy and Literature), it seems to me that the present of any organisation is built day by day by the human factors. Amongst these, I would emphasise correct dialoguing with the different sectors and the harnessing of synergies.
EMESA has given me the opportunity to put these ideas into practice since they began operations, collaborating in their development as part of the Executive Team.
When I was eight, I visited the construction of a section of the Tajo-Segura water transfer, the aqueduct over the Cigüela river. Since that moment, I wanted to study Civil Engineering. I then continued my training with the IESE MBA. All my professional life has been focused on construction and business management in this sector. Since I joined EMESA in 2009 I have further developed my technical skills as an engineer, engaging actively in the management of the maintenance and optimisation of the M-30, this wonderful infrastructure that the city of Madrid has.
I am a big fan of mathematics and new technologies.
I spend all my free time with family and friends whether at musical events (I am a performing musician in several orchestras) or playing sports, mainly golf.
