On February 13 at 6:00 pm, the Masterclass will take place in the framework of the BIM International Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Infrastructure and SIG.
Manuel Muelas starts the masterclass “In the last years we have witnessed an unstoppable advance as far as Information Technology is concerned, specifically regarding transmission speed, storage capacity and computing capacity. These advances have led to the proliferation in all sectors of new methodologies to support decision-making.
These methodologies are based mainly on the analysis of a large amount of data. New profiles in the labour market are being created in this way, profiles that require a combined training in mathematical methods, statistics, programming languages, computer science … Nothing new for the different engineering study programs, although the curricula should be adapted to the new reality and stress certain subjects in order to adapt easily to market requirements.
In this presentation we intend to show how for several years Madrid Calle 30 and specifically its private partner EMESA (the M-30 Maintenance and Operation Company) have established an architecture to process the large amount of data generated, focused on the modelling of the realities we deal with on a daily basis. These models serve as patterns of behaviour to compare the different occurring situations and thus generate a strategy of predictive maintenance and operation in real time. ”
