The 2019 calendars that Emesa has already released are the most special to date, as our employees’ children were responsible for making all the drawings that illustrate them.
With the aim of instilling the importance of Road Safety in both adults and children, in November the company convened the 1st Children’s “Road Safety” Drawing Contest for the employees’ kids. The participants had to draw a picture that answered the questions: “What does Road Safety mean to you?” “Why do you think it’s important for everyone?” and “How would you change some attitudes in order to favour Road Safety?
The initiative was a success and the prizes were awarded to the winner and the rest of participants in December. In addition, we took advantage of the kids’ visit to show them the Control Centre and the trucks used by the first-response teams.
Initiatives like this one allow Emesa to instil the importance of road safety from a very young age, while committing adults and children to safer and more respectful driving. Following this social responsibility initiative, Emesa plans to actively collaborate with associations dedicated to instilling positive values and attitudes related to road safety over the next year through activities that combine theory with workshops and circuits, with specific content that’s been adapted for children from 3 to 12 years old.
