SOSFM, the “radio” that notifies you about incidences in the M-30 tunnels

Has a voice ever suddenly come on your car radio warning of an incident while you were going through the tunnels of the M-30?

If so, then you are already familiar with the SOSFM service. And if not, today you will discover this alert system available in the M-30 tunnels. It is one of the systems which we use to notify drivers about incidences happening in the M30 tunnels.

At Emesa we have made several improvements in this communications system and we can currently send messages (live or pre-recorded) in order to build an immediate, clear and continuous communications channel with drivers in case of emergency.

What notifications can be heard through SOSFM?

Any situation that must be communicated to drivers for safety reasons is communicated through SOSFM in addition to the necessary instructions. This system complements the usual loudspeaker system in the M30 tunnels to reinforce safety on the road.

How does SOSFM work?

The M30 tunnels have 12 repeaters installed for this system that sends the message clearly from the Control Centre to drivers.
