On 14 February Emesa welcomed 10 representatives from South Korean construction companies. The objective of the visit was to learn, first-hand, about the technical and management aspects of highly complex infrastructures such as those overseen and managed by Emesa.
Specifically, representatives of the following companies travelled to Spain: Hyundai Construction, Kunhwa, Sambo, Esco, Namjin, Hyubwoojiyeu, Parkor Korea Indus and Zitron. Each of them had a particular interest in different aspects. The tunnels attracted the most attention from the visitors, who wanted to discover, first-hand, how Emesa manages issues such as tunnel safety, construction and maintenance or ventilation and air purification systems. Electricity and Emesa’s contingency plans in the event of natural disasters were other issues raised by the Korean professionals to the M-30’s maintenance and operating company staff.
Visits by Korean professionals to Emesa are now becoming more common and help to position the company as an international benchmark in road management and maintenance.
